Definition

An Antipodean is someone who keeps another life on the other side of the world, and the aeroplane to get there.

Not a second home. An alternate life — an alter ego — waiting at the other dusk. The mark is a circle with a diameter: here, and the exact opposite place. An Antipodean is someone who is free.

The Hangar

Where the apartment
is built onto the aeroplane.

One hangar. One layout. Oak modules on the shop floor, the Nocturne ship in the light. We do not hand-carve a new palace for each owner. We build the same house, again.

Antipodean hangar: a midnight 777-300ER with copper stripe, oak apartment modules on the floor, Tasman light through clerestory windows.

The Aeroplane

Boeing 777-300ER. Nocturne.
Midnight, and a copper meridian.

The stretched Triple Seven, GE90-115B, raked wingtips. Auxiliary fuel in the belly. Spec sheet: 18,500 km. On a jet-stream day, the story is antipodal.

Antipodean Timepieces

A twenty-four-hour face.
The other hand is the antipode.

Swiss, hand-finished, independent manufacture. Not a GMT. A GMT shows some other place. This shows the mathematically opposite place. We compete from two hundred and fifty thousand dollars, because that is where a serious dial belongs.

The Antipodean watch: brushed bronze case, bone enamel 24-hour dial, copper circle and diameter, no numerals.

The movement is finished in Switzerland. The case is bronze that will take a life. The dial is bone enamel with a single copper meridian — here, and there. First edition: twenty-four pieces, hands frozen at the record flight’s departure and arrival.

The Antipodean

The 24-hour meridian. Your pair on the diameter. Hand-finished, 44 mm, bronze.

The Record

Twenty-four pieces. Hands fixed at Madrid dusk and Auckland dusk. The founding flight, worn.
